LEE LAPTHORNE – GUEST LECTURER

Lee Lapthorne, creator of On|Off, alternative fashion showcase for LFW, and textile designer, had some interesting advice to share with us in a recent seminar.

Straight-talking Lee put it simply; work hard and make the most of the facilities available to us now, such as the print room, because as soon as we graduate they won’t be as readily accessible. This means we will be relying on all the work produced in our final year to help us get jobs. He also advised when looking for internships to work hard and take anything you can get because any industry experience is valuable.

As well as advice for making it in the industry, we also had the opportunity to look at some of his interesting textile designs.
