Today I gave the first presentation of my degree so far, and much to my delight, it wasn’t so bad! The presentation was powerpoint based and required to last around eight minutes. Once I started talking, the time flew by and I was surprised by how much information I’d managed to actually remember. I spoke about Emma Mawston, a textile designer and the head of interior fabrics at Liberty. The presentations had to be based on a designer featured in your chosen essay question and be relevant to the subject. I chose to talk about Emma Mawston as I believe the work she and her team does, reflects on the vision that Arthur Lasenby Liberty had for his business.
